Bon lib-vre
toujours passionnant même si la "recette" qui est toujours la même , peut devenir lassante ou trop "ficelle"
disappointing 
I had read the previous novels by Dan Brown (before the Da Vinci Code sales boom) and I was eager to read this one. However I was soon disappointed by this novel. It is the same history all over, except that now is Masons instead of Priory of Sion and Washington DC instead of Paris. The plot is plain and unbelievable. After a hundred pages or so I was already thinking about the book that I was going to start next.
Disappointing.... Décevant
Disappointing book. Some interesting folklore about Freemasons, some good suspense but less than halfway through the book I already knew "whodunit" and the end is so totally CHEESY. I almost felt that he was trying to make up for the (somewhat) anti-bible / organized religion theme in the Da Vinci code. I regret reading it. Yuck.
Dan Brown a fait mieux! 
C'est un bon cru mais pas un excellent cru! Je n'ai pas retrouvé le suspense haletant qui m'avait enthousiasmée dans le da vinci code et surtout dans angels and demons. L'enquête dans le milieu des francs- maçons de washington est franchement intéressante (on apprend énormément de choses), on est ravis de retrouver notre bon vieux Robert dont le seul but est de sauver son mentor aux mains d'un fanatique "démoniaque" bien méchant comme il faut et on ne se lasse pas de chercher où tout cela va bien pouvoir nous mener...pendant 300 pages car après on a plus ou moins compris le comment du pourquoi! Il n'en reste pas moins que c'est un roman honnête qui se laisse lire plaisamment.
Distrayant, Instructif, Caricatural
Comme d'habitude avec Dan Brown, le scénario est tiré par les cheveux et les personnages caricaturaux, mais l'intérêt du livre n'est pas là. Ici il s'agit donc d'une plongée dans les mystères de la Franc-Maçonnerie, et de la fondation de Washington. Pour quelqu'un comme moi qui n'est pas fondu d'Histoire, ce lecture permet donc des découvertes, complétée par quelques recherches sur internet. Et ceci de façon distrayante. L'anglais utilisé est à la portée de tous, il y a juste une petite dizaine de mots techniques d'architecture à rechercher.
