J'utilise l'album en cours d'anglais avec mes élèves afin de travailler le vocabulaire et la structure répétitive de façon plus ludique et donc c'est top. Seul hic, il est trop petit

Ce livre est vraiment super! Je le lis aussi bien à mon fils de 4 ans qu'à mes élèves. En anglais je l'ai beaucoup utilisé lorsque j'avais des ce1, mais c'est adaptable à tous niveaux. Les enfants l'adorent, et c'est l'outil idéal pour interdisciplinarité: découverte du monde avec la transformation de la chenille en papillon, les jours de la semaine (pour le cycle 3 on peut aussi penser à l'origine des mots aussi bien en français qu'en anglais), les couleurs, la nourriture, les nombres... Il existe aussi la vidéo qui plaît beaucoup aux enfants et pas mal de ressources sur le net!!!

nous avions déjà un certain nombre de livres en anglais (essentiellement les "Spot") pour familiariser nos enfants avec cette langue. J'ai acheté d'abord "Today is monday" de Eric Carle : formidable pour apprendre les jours de la semaine. Puis "From Head to toe" lorsque mon aînée a voulu connaitre les parties du corps. Et enfin, juste pour le plaisir "the very hungry caterpillar". Mes enfants me réclament la lecture de ces livres, l'aînée (9 ans) commence à les lire seule. Ils sont ludiques, gais et surtout abordent un vocabulaire de base facile pour les jeunes enfants.
Enfin The very hungry Caterpillar est amusant, plein de demi-pages, de trous et d'humour. Superbe !
bien fait et parfaitement étudié pour des débutants en Anglais
Un livre bien fait pour des enfants qui commencent l'Anglais.On y apprend les jours de la semaine, les noms des fruits, et de quelques aliments et on y révise les nombres de 1 à 5.Belles illustrations et un vocabulaire facile à expliquer à des débutants en Anglais.Et cette petite chenille est attendrissante!
Prix d'excellence
J'ai acheté la version anglaise et française. Ma fille essaie de lire la version anglaise. Je lis la version française. ice et versa. Finalement, cette méthode lui permet d'apprendre du vocabulaire. On s'amuse bien.
